Session Purpose and Description:
This session will explore several examples of regional transit travel beyond jurisdictional county boundaries and rural-to-urban environments in Florida. How are such public transit services conceived and initiated? Who facilitates the discussions to form partnerships for service planning, design, financing, and operating service? What types of planning approaches and market analysis can be conducted to define the potential for service development and agreements for partnerships? A panel of representatives experienced in various aspects of regional transit service, from planning to implementation, will facilitate audience participation and shared interests.
