About

Session at the 2009 Professional Development Conference
The Florida Transit Planning Network is a partnership between Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Florida transit agencies and the Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) at the University of South Florida to promote networking and information sharing among transit planners in Florida. The FTPN provides a forum to discuss issues and solutions; facilitate knowledge exchange; and promote professional development.
Membership is free and open to anyone with an interest in public transportation planning. Representatives of public transportation providers, Metropolitan Planning Organizations, other government agencies and transportation consulting firms are encouraged to participate. In addition to its bi-annual face-to-face meetings held in conjunction with the Florida Public Transportation Association’s (FPTA) activities, this website offers various tools and networking features to act as a clearinghouse and blog for transit planning in the State of Florida.
